And the winners are:
1) Caelin Grambau, Age 5, Lancaster, PA - View winning picture here
Judge’s Comments: “Caelin’s beautifully illustrated drawing depicts a girl riding her bicycle on a sunny day…and she didn’t forget to include the bicycle helmet. Nice job!”
2) Abby Rose Olsen, Age 18, Muskegon, MI - View winning picture here
Judge’s Comments: “Abby’s picture shows a young lady choosing not to walk her dog, but rather run with the dog. We applaud Abby’s reflection of a child making the healthier choice when options are available.”
3) Genevieve Gottardo Age 9, Hart, MI - View winning picture here
Judge’s Comments: “Not only did Genevieve depicts children partaking in a variety of healthy sports activities, she also created 2 distinct sidebars: one illustrating healthy foods such as fruits and veggies and the other offering interesting fitness ‘facts’. She really went that extra mile.”

“This contest inspired kids to think about healthy living in an entirely different, creative way – one where they had to consider lifestyle decisions made at the individual level,” said Kern. “The entries received confirm this ‘exercise’ helped children contemplate good and bad lifestyle choices they are presented with each day, and think through the best course of action to take to promote their health and well-being. The initiative was a resounding success.”
